Candle Care
Our candles are designed to be a decorative addition to your home, however if you do decide to light them please ensure you follow our candle care guide below.
We have conducted burn testing on our candle designs, however as each is individually handmade they may burn slightly differently when lit.
If you have any questions, please contact us!
Burn time
We advise that you burn your candle for no longer than 2 hours at a time. This will make your candle burn better and last longer. The first burn is the most important! Leave your candle to burn for at least an hour to create a sufficient melt pool and keep a close eye on it.
Wax drip
Our candles will drip when you burn them. We highly recommend placing your candle on a small dish to catch any wax as it drips. We hope to sell these soon so stay tuned!
Wick trimming
With any candle, it’s important to regularly trim the wick after each burn. Always blow the candle out first and wait for it to cool down before trimming the wick. Keeping a well-trimmed wick will avoid the candle flame getting too large and creating smoke.
Heat & light
Our candles look great anywhere, but please avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or heat. While we use high quality materials, wax and fragrances are sensitive to temperature and light. Place them away from sunlight to ensure you get the most out of your candle!
General safety
-
Always place your candle on a flat surface, away from anything flammable.
-
Never leave your candle unattended when lit.
-
A correct candle flame should be constant and not flickering or smoking. Please ensure you have trimmed your wick before the first burn and after each burn.
-
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
